Keep the following items together and always store them in the same place so you can find them easily. Make sure all of the members in the house have access to the first aid kit. Try to replace items as needed.

1. Absorbent sterile cotton activated charcoal (for poisoning)

2. Adhesive-strip bandages

3. Adhesive tape

4. Cotton-tipped swabs

5. Hot - cold pack

6. Household ammonia

7. Meat tenderizer (for bee stings)

8. Pen knife

9. Penlight with fresh batteries

10. Petroleum jelly

11. Rubbing alcohol

12. Safety pins

13. Scissors

14. Sewing needles and tweezers (for removing splinters)

15. Sterile gauze bandages
