How to Change Your Computer SoundsAren't you tired of listening to the same sounds your computer makes all the time? Well it's very easy to change and the options are endless. During boot-up, you can have a sexy voice welcome you to Windows, or have Butthead call you a dumb ass when you make an error.
2. This Sound Properties box will appear. Click on any of the available options, for example, the Exit Windows sound. 3. The exit windows sound is called "Tada." Click the browse button to see what other sounds are available. 4. These sounds have the WAV extension. So all you have to do is download some new WAV sounds and you're in business. 5. For example, to download this sound, first click on it to hear, then right click on the link to download.. 6. Then click on "Save link as" or "Save target as." 7. Save the file in C:\Windows\media. This is were all the computer sound files are stored. 8. Now you're ready to change the sounds to whatever you downloaded. 9. Choose the sound you want to change, this example sound you just downloaded makes a good "Menu pop-up" sound. 10. Click on "Menu pop-up." 11. Now click on the Browse button. 12. Find the file you just downloaded and click OK. 13. You can do this for any of the sounds your computer can make. 14. Here are other sounds you can try:
